Laura Tempest Zakroff, often known as Tempest, an author, artist and performer. She is a creator who studied at the Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia and the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts. Later, she received her BFA in Printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Laura is a driving force in the New England pagan community. She hosts workshops ans classes both online and in person.

Laura Tempest Zakroff is a modern traditionalist witch and outspoken influence in the pagan movement. She was the Associate Editor of Crescent Magazine, A Pagan Publication of Art, Philosophy, and Belief (1998- 2004). She founded the Cauldron of Annwyn Pagan Society in New England. She is a member of the New England Covens of Traditionalist Witches (NECTW).

She was the youngest of three children born to a Jewish father and Catholic mother. Her siblings were both male and both older. Although raised Catholic and fascinated by the priesthood, she did not take to the Church’s ridged structure. Nor did she take after her father’s religion. But she did follow in her parent’s creative footsteps. Her parents were both creators who majored in journalism.

She has spoken, performed and presented at many pagan gatherings, including Beyond the Gates, Many Gods West, PantheaCon, Paganicon, Pagan Spirit Gathering, Mystic South, and many Pagan Pride events.
