Tracey Rollin is likely best known for her book Santa Muerte. She was born and raised in New Mexico. Her German immigrant mother raised her not only with traditions of the Catholic church, but also with the stories of her Germanic blood. Thor and Odin were as vivid in her childhood mind as the Church’s stained glass windows illuminated with morning sunlight.
She lost interest in the Catholic church when she gained knowledge of how the church has treated women over its many centuries and today. Like many teens in similar situations, she found witchcraft and paganism could offer what the church could not. Tracey also discovered an interest in chaos magic.
After putting pen to paper, Tracey Rollins first published work was the guide: Meditation Beads for Witches. Later she wrote for The Portal magazine before signing with Red Wheel / Weiser who published her first book Santa Muerte.
